What Is "Commercial General Liability" Coverage?
Updated 10 days ago (March 6, 2026)
As a landlord, make sure your liability insurance covers the physical injuries a tenant could sustain and that it also protects your tenant's enjoyment of the property so that they won't suffer from unlawful discrimination, illegal and retaliatory eviction, or invasion of privacy. When you are unsure about these, the safest option is to require your insurance agent to get these protections in writing. If your insurance agent refuses to do so, you would be better off choosing another agency or another liability insurance plan.
