Who Pays Closing Costs on a House?

Most of the time, you will be responsible for paying the closing costs on a house. Lenders will typically make you responsible for the payment of these costs. Unless the lender specifically informs you that they will be taking responsibility for certain closing costs, or if you negotiate to have the lender pay certain closing costs, you should assume that you will be responsible for paying all closing costs.
